If you cant find the right pillar to suit your specific requirements, we offer a bespoke design and manufacture service. Using the latest CAD software our engineers can manufacture a special pillar built to your exact specification. We can accommodate anything from large double door pillars with built in heat exchange and lighting right down to a small stainless steel pillar with custom cable access.
special pillar case study
The pillars were design in specialised 3D CAD software. 3D drawings/models were produced to communicate the exact design to the customer. The customer chose standard tri cam locks at the top and bottom of the doors along side a high security Yale lock in the center of the door. A slide bolt and a door stay was fitted to the inside of the door. The removable centre section of the door frame allows for installation access for large items specified by the customer. The pillar was fitted with a specially designed heat exchange system. Thermostatically controlled blowers combined with a ventillation system keep the pillar at the specified temperature. Lighting was pre-wired and designed to turn on automatically when the door is opened. The pillar was hot dipped galvanised and then painted black to match the Traffic for London standard colour.
